Keon Rahzeem Mitchell was born on December 30, 1991 in Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Southwest Dekalb High School, Keon enrolled at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, graduating with his computer science degree. While there, during his senior year, he made a decision to pursue an acting career, a dream he always wanted to chase. He signed up for his first acting class ever at NCAT prior to graduating which led him to pursuing acting classes in Raleigh, NC where he was able to maintain his corporate career as a Business Systems Analyst as well.
His first attempt to register for classes at the Raleigh Little Theatre turned into his first opportunity to perform on stage in a play based on the cake walk that originated in Florida in the late 1800s called "Mirandy and Brother Wind" where he played Brother Wind, a mystic. This opportunity served as a major eye opener for Keon, leading him to Charlotte, NC.
During his tenure in Charlotte, he filmed his very first project, on camera for ESPN, as the leading man, being a high school football player in 2015. Shortly after his national television debut, he was granted the opportunity to join the cast of David E. Talbert's "Almost Christmas" (2016) as the role of Young Walter. In 2016, Keon began honing in on his craft by working with Kelley Hinman, a first generation Meisner student of Sanford Mesiner, and others to continue to grow his talent.
Shortly after, Keon's commercial appetite grew. He was spotted in a series of commercials across the nation including Hasbro Toy's Mrs. Monopoly, Carowinds Amusement Park, The Lottery, Comporium, and, in recent days, Wells Fargo as the learning branch manager. It was a critical goal of Keon to ensure that he, not only focus on the theatre and film, but also strengthen his talent in the commercial stratosphere.
After moving back to Atlanta, GA in 2018, Keon was afforded the opportunity to get back on the stage work with major studios. "Head over Heals", a dramedy play create by Lolita Snipes gave Keon a chance to tackle the stage in front of 600 audience members as Kirk, a young man who did not not perception of how relationships should work and later changed directions for better, which starred key players such as Q. Parker from the awarding music group 112, singer Tamika Scott from SWV, Dottie Peoples, comedian Tony Baker, and many other familiar stars. Later in 2020, he portrayed an insinuation of James Baldwin in Jordan Peele's, J.J. Abraham's, and Meisha Green's "Love Craft Country" on Home Box Office (HBO) starring Jonathan Majors, Journey Smollet, Michael K. Williams, Courtney B. Vance, and many more extraordinary talent. In due time, he was later seen on Tyler Perry's "Sistas" as Officer Avery Harper working with KJ Smith, Devale Ellis and Ebony Obsidian.
He is current working on upcoming projects that are set to air in the near future and is continuing to make major strides towards reaching his end goal of being a part of the next generation of American actors.
